Our mission
CLB's main mission is to make citizens, the municipality and other organizations aware of the best practices likely to improve the water quality of Brome Lake and its tributaries.
In this context, the actions taken aim to ensure users' sustainable use of their bodies of water while minimizing the potential negative impacts on the fauna and flora that develop there.

CLB's participation in the many environmental programs overseen by the Ministry of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change gives rigour, credibility and supervision to its approach and its interventions while giving it access to experts. These programs include the Voluntary Lake Monitoring Network and the Réseau-Rivières, which monitors the water quality of lakes and rivers. The organization is also scientifically supervised by the Organisme de bassin versant de la Yamaska, which works to promote sustainable and integrated water management in the watershed.

An unusable lake means, among other things, a drop in the property value of residences, loss of revenue for the municipality, drop in tourist appeal, the number of second homes, reduction in tourism and in the number of business customers.
